College, the Cadillac of learning. It’s what I call the world’s norm of education. Some of us have spent no time in college and the other 10+ years. With tuition constantly increasing to amounts that make it almost impossible for your average person to attend without accruing debt, it has raised the question in the last decade if it’s even worth attending. Generations before were expected, but now, people are rethinking the entire idea. More often lately, I hear the phrase “College is overrated.” Yes, I even hear that by people attending college. And despite how I could write an entire book on my thoughts on college, we aren’t going to talk about that. Instead, I want to share that I don’t think college is overrated. Other education is underrated. Let’s talk about it.

College wasn’t for me. But I know plenty of people that have thrived from being in a college environment. I tried it and dropped out for my own reasons. Depending on what you want to do with your life, college might be a requirement. I don’t have a personal issue with college, just with people who think that college is the only form of higher education.

The main reason I dropped out of college was I discovered two things. First, I wasn’t learning anything new. And anything that I didn’t know I could learn for free through books…
