I was stuck in a 9–5 with $334.58 in the bank account and no hope.

After reading hundreds of books on business, I came to the conclusion that you were either going to spend the time or the money to make something work. For example, if you have a leaky faucet in your house, you can either hire a plumber and spend $300, or you watch a YouTube video, take some measurements, and fix it yourself. Its the same end result, but one you end up with $300 more in your pocket and the other 3 hours of time.

I always wanted to run my own business, be my own boss, and take charge of my life. I was tired of living paycheck to paycheck, and spending my whole life working for someone else. My problem was I didn’t have the money to start anything. What business could I start with $334.58 in the bank account. I figured I would take the time to learn as much as I could about business, so when it came time I could spring into action with the highest chances of success. I read two books a week, listen to podcast, watch videos, and did everything I could. I knew at some point I had to just do it, and that point for me was hearing the advice “If you can’t start your dream company, start something you can afford to start.” I can’t remember who I heard that from, but it made me think, why wait for the 1.6 million I need to start my dream…
