Taking The First Steps to Begin Your Full Time Writing Career
If you are a blogger on medium or absolutely love writing. You probably have some aspiration to becoming a full-time writer. Who wouldn’t? As a writer myself, that sounds amazing. Wake up whenever you want to, write all day, and you still get your weekends. You might have a hard time finding a way to become a writer full time. Maybe you arent sure if you should start a blog or become a freelancer. Today I want to dive in and share everything I know about writing as a career.
First, off there isn’t a straight or correct path to achieve this goal. Anything in the career of arts must be found on an individual artist’s journey. Now that I got that disclaimer out of the way, let’s talk about where to start. Firstly, I want you to ask yourself how bad do you want this. You might love writing, but is it something you think you can do every day(or most days) and still love it. The amount of effort you put into it over time will be the biggest indicator of success in this industry. Ask yourself how badly you want it because there will be days where you hate it, days where you question why you are even trying. Creative industries will beat the artist up from the inside out and spit you back out. If you arent willing to take the first few years to put your head down and grind without making a penny. Then maybe you want to rethink your primary career.
