Registering your company is easy, only if you know the correct steps. It can bring a lot of anxiety attempting to navigate the world of business registration. Today I am going to dive into a step-by-step guide to registering your business.

There are many types of ways you can register your business, from C-Corp, LLC, and even a sole proprietor. I won’t dive into all of these benefits, but I will say you really want to stick with two. An LLC- S-corp or Partnership. If you are working at a typical start-up, a Corporation is another option that you should consider(sometimes required.) But if you are starting a small business, you are going to want to at least go with an LLC. It’s easy to file taxes, cheap to start. Even if it’s just you, an LLC provides you with a blanket of security.
First off, it keeps your personal name off everything. It also allows a legal separation between your personal items and the company, which means if someone was to go after you for legal reasons. They couldn’t touch anything that you personally own, just the companies.
