After hitting the one-year mark of being stuck indoors with a flourishing infection out the window, it’s safe to say we might not go back to “normal” for quite some time, if ever. Some of us lost our jobs, and lots of us moved to full-time at-home jobs. With all of the turmoil from 2020, every individual’s mental health has been a challenge and stretch in every way possible. Are you working a job that you hate, and you are afraid of quitting? Maybe you arent sure if you will be able to get another one. Times are unpredictable, and it can be difficult to make a big decision like that. But it also could be needed. Today, let’s dive into signs that it’s time for a career change.

The Exhaustion

Are you unable to clean the house after work anymore? Or read that book that’s been sitting on your shelf for the last year. Maybe it’s not you at all. It’s your job. We spend more time at our job than almost anything else in life. And if you are feeling overworked or miserable there. It will reflect through all aspects of your life. One of the biggest reasons I’m an advocate for doing what you love is to avoid burnout. If you find it hard to live life outside of your day job. Maybe it’s time to start looking for something else.
