Why I Rarely Blog About My Six Figure Business
If you have stuck around reading my blog thus far, you know that I run my company full-time out of my apartment. The last year and a half, I came from starting it as a side hustle in my Aunt’s basements to making a living off it. My company makes well into the high six figures, and we are hoping to make seven figures by the end of 2021. But why don’t I talk much about what I do? Sure there are posts about business and things to know if you want to get into it. But rarely do I ever flash my company off or wave it around. Today I am going to talk to you about why I don’t discuss my business.
The world of business is something I know quite well and is my passion. I love to talk about it with anyone and help anyone that is interesting in starting. But I don’t showboat my own successes, and I don’t plan on ever doing that. I don’t like to talk about what I do because of the mentally-around business owners on the internet.
Most people love to show off all of their money and sell people courses on how all of their problems will be solved by three easy steps. Business ownership is untruthfully glamorous in the media, and I don’t want to add to the false image. I wake up at 6:00 AM almost every day, even on weekends, and I don’t stop working till around 9 PM. It is not glamorized. Most of the work is done behind doors and involves starting at a…
