One of my all-time favorite memories growing up was movie night. Every Friday evening, rain or shine, my mother would drive us all to Blockbuster to pick out a movie and some candy. It was some of the best times of my life to this day. I was raised by movie lovers only. Movies had been in my life forever, and going to a movie theater to watch something new was almost an honor. Unfortunately, because of the world pandemic, most movie theaters had to shut down for months. As the world reopens, one question bogs movie lovers like me. Will going to the movies come back, and are they here to stay?

Depending on what part of the country you are in, AMC’s and theaters alike might have started to reopen. Sadly, there hasn’t been any “die for” movies to see. It still gives people the ability to go and watch something on the big screen. The current pandemic has changed our lives for better or worse. It has allowed us rapid societal change and has proven humans’ ability to adapt quickly to the environment. Affecting primarily “non-essential business,” with the entertainment industry being on the top of that list. Which, as much as it pains me to say, I think the age of movie theaters everywhere will soon fade. Let’s talk about the timeline and how I can to this conclusion.
