If you guys have followed my journey thus far, thank you. If you haven’t, welcome. I am currently 1/12 of the way through a challenge of determining if blogging is dead. How am I doing this? Well, I am writing a blog every day for an entire year. You heard that correctly. We are currently on day 30 and still going strong. I want to give an update on everything that is going on in the background during this challenge.

The first few weeks of doing this challenge were proven to be easy. I always have a million things I want to write about. I began to work the time to create these blogs in my schedule through a productivity rule called batching. Batching is doing all of the work, for one thing, all at once. So instead of taking two hours everyday writing and editing a blog. I spend 14 hours over the weekend writing and editing all seven blogs for the week. There are pros and cons to this method. The biggest pro is it ensures that I post a blog every day. No matter how hectic my week gets. There will be some days I don’t get done with my job until 10:00 PM. The last thing I want to worry about is making a new blog from scratch. But just taking 30 minutes to post a blog already made is no problem at all. The biggest con is it takes up my entire weekend. So whenever something comes up like I have to go out of town. It becomes hard to take the time and write all of my blogs at once.
